Turmeric Tea

My Friend Sandra taught me how to make this tea. I make sure there is always a batch in the fridge.

This tea is quite amazing! It nixes inflammation, helps detox the liver and even keeps your skin clear.



4 cups filtered water

4 Green Tea teabags

1 finger sized piece of Turmeric (peeled and roughly chopped) OR 1 tbsp. powdered Turmeric

1 finger size piece of ginger (peeled and roughly chopped)

Heat water on stove until boiling, add turmeric and ginger, turn heat down and simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off heat, add tea bags and let steep another 5 minutes, remove tea bags and let cool to room temp. Strain the tea into a re-cycled glass wine bottle. Can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Drink up to 1 cup daily for relief of chronic inflammation.
